Sallertaine
Sallertaine is a very old foundation of the town whose name would keep the memory of salt marshes it’s once surrounded. It overlooks the marshes with its multiple channels.
On your way you will discover a XII century church. A second church was built there and inaugurated in 1911.
“Le moulin de Rairé” works with the wind, without interruptions, since 1560. The mill has a traditional mechanism and manufactures corn flour, barley, oats and wheat.
The town is called ” “village des artisans”, discover the know-how of our craftsmen (tanning, pottery, jewelery making ….).
